Our commitment
AC5 Labs designs, builds, and maintains ac5labs.com to be usable by the widest possible audience, including users with disabilities. We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance and align with Section 508 / ICT Accessibility standards required for federal-facing content.
What we've done
- Semantic HTML with a logical heading hierarchy on every page.
- Color contrast ratios meeting WCAG 2.1 AA on all text.
- Visible focus states for keyboard navigation; skip-to-content link on every page.
- Alt text on meaningful images.
- Forms with labeled fields, descriptive error messages, and clear required-field indicators.
- No content that auto-plays sound or video; no flashing content.
What we're still working on
Accessibility is a continuous practice. We test the site with axe DevTools and screen-reader spot-checks (NVDA + macOS VoiceOver) on a regular cadence. Issues we identify are tracked in our backlog with a target resolution within 30 days.
